In early 2022, the Internal Revenue Services launched a group called the Joint Strategic Emerging Issues Team so that representatives from a wide range of IRS offices can collaborate to quickly identify areas where there’s a high risk of noncompliance and determine how best to address these issues.

Kim R. DiFabio, JD
Internal Revenue Service

Kim Di Fabio is a Supervisory Attorney with the Estate & Gift Tax Division of the Internal Revenue Service. Estate and Gift Tax is part of the Specialty Programs. She began her career in the Manhattan District and then transferred to Florida. Kim has been a manager for over 15 years. She also worked for the Estate and Gift Tax Policy Office for three years. Kim currently supervises the attorneys and legal specialists located in the Plantation and Tampa. Her group is responsible for estate and gift tax examinations in Florida as well as nationwide. Kim received her BA in Political Science from Hofstra University and her JD from New York Law School.
