Beyond Bloodlines: Estate Planning When Your Clients Are Childfree

Estate planning is often framed around the traditional family model, but what happens when your clients are childfree or have no direct heirs? This session explores the nuanced considerations of estate planning when children are not in the picture. Estate planning professionals—whether attorneys, financial planners, tax advisors, or wealth managers—will gain valuable insights into how to tailor strategies that align with the goals, values, and wishes of childfree individuals. We will dive into alternative legacy options, creative beneficiary designations, and the importance of establishing a meaningful and lasting impact for individuals without direct descendants.

In this session, we’ll explore practical ways to provide comprehensive estate planning services that reflect the unique circumstances of clients who are childfree, with a focus on ensuring that their wishes are respected and their wealth is distributed according to their specific desires.
