Gary Cotter, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERä Professional, has practiced as a financial planner for more than three decades. He has worked with clients in Sun City Center since 1991. Gary is a Branch Manager with LPL Financial and is President of Cotter Financial, LLC.

Gary has appeared on Channel 8 and Channel 13 news and has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, The Tampa Tribune, St. Petersburg Times and many financial services industry publications. He has published over one hundred articles on estate planning, taxes and investments, including columns in area newspapers.>/p> >p>Gary is a past president and board member of the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Financial Planning Association. He is a member of the Tampa Bay Estate Planning Council and is a Charter Member of Ed Slott’s Master Elite IRA Advisor Group.

A graduate of Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi, Gary also holds a master’s degree from the State University of New York at Albany and has done further graduate work in business and economics at the University of South Florida. He completed the education requirement for the CFP designation through the College for Financial Planning, and has taught the CFP program for Rollins College.
